Flack Attack: The Appalachian Battery

This solo exhibition features the work of famed Johnson City, TN, artist, Jason “Jay” Flack. Jay’s work is characterized by his bold use of color, illustrative designs, and expressionist energy. Jay Flack is an urban folk painter, motivational speaker, and an educator who is committed to bringing communities together through the power of art and story sharing. This retrospective exhibition will showcase Jay’s influences, from adolescence to his most recent works of art. With all the life and vigor of a modern day Appalachian battery, Jay Flack is one of the most beloved, contemporary, neo-Appalachian artists of today.

 

“Flack Attack: The Appalachian Battery” is a William King Museum of Art original exhibition and is part of the museum’s McGlothlin Exhibition Series.
