Youth Art Camp 2025 – Modern and Contemporary Art Week

June 9 - June 13

Youth Art Camp 2025

The theme for Art Camp 2025 is Then and Now, Near and Far. This summer camp will consist of five weeks with unique World Culture related themes ranging from local Appalachian handcrafting traditions to Art History focused-projects from cultures around the world. Children will make a variety of projects each week; including paper basket weaving, exploring ancient cave art, studying brushwork of the French Impressionists, or even learning about animals all around the world!

Modern and Contemporary Art Week

June 9th–13th

  • This week of art camp will be focused on artwork created from the 1860’s and beyond! Campers will begin the week with art movements like Impressionism and Art Nouveau. Then, as the week progresses, we learn about other art movements in the modern and contemporary world; such as Cubism, Dadaism, Surrealism, Pop Art, Minimalism, and more. Campers will have a blast with all the experimental techniques that blossomed during this period of art history!
