The new wing is now clearly visible from Russell Road. As you drive up, you’ll see that the brick work is complete on the large west portion of the building and is strikingly beautiful. The bricks, made especially for our project, are a mottled grey and white, and you will notice immediately that the brick work is actually patterned. What you might not know is that its design was taken from a quilt in our Cultural Heritage Collection files, reflecting the rich textile tradition of this region.
