Inside the Outsider

April 20, 2007
through October 12, 2008

Inside the Outsider showcases the work of two regional artists whose work categorizes them as being outsiders: Abingdon native Ollie Cox and Richard Bay from Radford, Va. “Outsider” artists, classified by their abilities to exist beyond the scope of inclusive artistic traditions, are most noted by their unorthodox styles and how they achieved these styles. Their approach to art is raw and reflected in their painting styles and assemblage techniques.
