Hand built Teapot & Tea Bowls

Cost: $250

Time and date(s): Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9/9-10/2, then 10/21 & 10/23 from 5:30PM-7:30PM (5 weeks)

Location: Clay Studio (Art Lab lower level; stair access only)

Skill level: Intermediate/New Learners

Audience: Teen – adult

Description: You’ll choose from two teapot templates and be guided through the process of building your teapot from slab clay. Then, add your own personal flair with textures, added design such as sculptural faces or flowers. You’ll also be shown how to make tea bowls to accompany your teapot, and time permitting, a tray to hold all your ware. All supplies and firing fees included.

  • 9/9-10/2: Hand building class
  • 97-10/16: No class; drying and bisque firing period
  • 10/21 & 10/23: Glaze week (Required attendance for all participants to apply food safe glaze to your bisque-fired work. No additional fee for this week.)
