Youth Art Camp 2025 – Art in the Animal World

July 7 - July 11

Youth Art Camp 2025

The theme for Art Camp 2025 is Then and Now, Near and Far. This summer camp will consist of five weeks with unique World Culture related themes ranging from local Appalachian handcrafting traditions to Art History focused-projects from cultures around the world. Children will make a variety of projects each week; including paper basket weaving, exploring ancient cave art, studying brushwork of the French Impressionists, or even learning about animals all around the world!

Art in the Animal World

July 7th–11th

  • For this final week of art camp, we will be making artwork inspired by all the creatures who inhabit our earth; furry, scaly, and otherwise! As an exciting precursor for the Worrell Collection of Animal Art opening next year, this week of art camp will be so much fun as kids will get a chance to create art based on all kinds of different animals. We will use various artistic mediums and learn fun animal facts along the way. We may even take a few nature walks and draw some living creatures we see out in nature.
