“Points of Departure: Recent Landscapes by Charles Goolsby” opened to the public on April 2nd. The night before we hosted our members only early viewing where WKMA members had the opportunity to get an in-depth look at the magnificent landscapes with commentary from Russell Facemire, Curator of Fine Art & Worrell Collection of Wildlife Art, and Charles Goolsby. This event was catered by A-Z Catering.

We followed the opening with a public tour on April 3rd led by Russell. Charles gave insights into his process for creation, inspirations, and the stories behind each work.

On April 8th, WKMA hosted another members only event, Members’ Morning. Charles gave a special presentation on his career and approach to painting, while guests sampled coffee and pastries from The Girl and the Raven.

“Points of Departure: Recent Landscapes by Charles Goolsby” will be on view through August 2nd. Don’t miss out on this amazing exhibit by a favorite local artist!

This exhibit is a William King Museum of Art original exhibition and is part of the museum’s McGlothlin Exhibition Series.
