Students will create a series of thumbnail compositions and choose the strongest design to develop further. \n– 7-9 project: Students will mix colors to make a big circle of colors like a rainbow. Then\, they will make lots of tiny thumbnails to find the best one to make bigger. \nSeries \nThis series of youth art classes is designed to provide homeschooling students with affordable\, quality\, and fun arts education. Classes will meet once a week on Wednesdays from September through April. All classes can be taken individually but\, when taken consecutively\, provide a complete curriculum of fine arts knowledge and techniques. Follow the contours of the object with your eyes and let your hand mimic those movements on the paper. \n– 10-13 project: Select from a series of pictures available for the students and practice drawing without looking at the page. Keep your eyes on the object and your pencil moving continuously. DESCRIPTION:Topic: Movement \n– 14-16+ project: Group students into two and sit them across from each other. Give them one piece of chalk\, pastel or charcoal for each hand and instruct them to mirror each other’s movements in turns. Make sure to put emphasis on arm movements. \n– 10-13 project: Set into groups of two. Give them one piece of chalk\, pastel or charcoal for each hand. Challenge pairs of students to replicate each other’s artwork in a mirrored fashion. \n– 7-9 project: Set into groups of two. Take turns copying the other student’s mirrored lines. \nSeries \nThis series of youth art classes is designed to provide homeschooling students with affordable\, quality\, and fun arts education. Classes will meet once a week on Wednesdays from September through April. All classes can be taken individually but\, when taken consecutively\, provide a complete curriculum of fine arts knowledge and techniques. Students who participate in any Homeschool Art classes have the option to submit work to the Homeschool Art Student Exhibition that will be on display in the children’s wing of the museum in May.  \nThe registration fee is $10 per class.* All supplies are included.  \nDue to the demand for the program\, we are going to cap the registration at 15 students per class to ensure that all students are getting the time and attention that they deserve\, and to guarantee that our classrooms can provide the necessary space. Unglazed work will not be completed by the instructor. There will be a delay of 1-2 weeks between the instructional sessions and the glazing session to allow for dry and fire time.
