DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Morgan Ford \nCost: $65 (for darkroom portion participants) \nTime and date(s): Saturday\, 12/14\, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. \nLocation: Lecture Room & Dark Room \nSkill level: Any \nAudience: Teen-Adult \nDescription: In today’s society\, everyone is a photographer with their phones. But photography has been and continues to be so much more; the hands-on experience of analog processes are undeniably fascinating. Here is your opportunity to get a glimpse into the world of darkroom film photography and alternative processes. In this session\, you’ll meet artist and educator\, Morgan Ford\, and learn about her work as a photographer. After hearing about Morgan’s work and learning about her upcoming classes in Spring 2025\, take a quick lunch break\, then return for an afternoon workshop taking the darkroom for a spin. Suitable for ages 13-adult. Space is limited! \nThe Meet & Greet part from 12-1 is free for everyone. The Darkroom portion is limited to 6 participants so register early to secure your spot! Registrants should bring a roll of developed 35mm black and white film and will take home two prints made in the darkroom. \nMorgan Ford is a Fine Art Photographer from Johnson City\, TN. Morgan has been an artist all of her life\, but after her first 35mm photography course in High School she fell in love with the process of light and catching that brief moment in time. At the age of 20 years old she moved to California and studied photography at Brooks Institute of Photography where she learned to shoot and develop her own film. Morgan has had exhibits all over the country showing her Fine Art B&W Photography of beautiful countrysides\, wild horses\, and dilapidated buildings. She currently resides in the Appalachian Mountains where she has a studio\, darkroom\, and large garden. \n \n  \n
