SUMMARY:Homeschool Art Classes: Perspective and Space
DESCRIPTION:October 8th: \n\nTopic: Perspective and Space: Building Reverse Perspective Hallway Illusion Cubes \n13-18 project: Building Reverse Perspective Hallway Illusion Cubes: A “reverse perspective hallway illusion cube” refers to creating a 3D physical structure that\, when viewed from a specific angle\, creates an optical illusion of a hallway or room with inverted depth. The parts that are physically closer to the viewer appear farther away\, and those that are physically farther away appear closer. Students will create their own optical illusion scene by using a precut template.\n10-12 project: Building Reverse Perspective Hallway Illusion Cubes: A “reverse perspective hallway illusion cube” refers to creating a 3D physical structure that\, when viewed from a specific angle\, creates an optical illusion of a hallway or room with inverted depth. Classes will meet once a week on Wednesdays from September through April. All classes can be taken individually but\, when taken consecutively\, provide a complete curriculum of fine arts knowledge and techniques. Students who participate in any Homeschool Art classes have the option to submit work to the Homeschool Art Student Exhibition that will be on display in the children’s wing of the museum in May. \n  \nClasses begin on September 17th and end on April 22nd. \n  \nProjects in the first semester (September-December) will be based on the fundamentals of art. Projects in the second semester (January-April) will be based on combining everything that we learned in the first semester with mixed media and sculpture.
