SUMMARY:Homeschool Art Classes: Linework in Popular Media
DESCRIPTION:September 17th:  \n\nTopic: Line: Linework in Popular Media: A discussion about how anime\, toys\, and video games use lines in their design.\n13-18 project: Anime-Inspired Ink Strokes: Students will create a drawing inspired by weaponry used in anime and will use their own creativity to make elements of the design their own. The students will put extra focus on linework within their design.\n10-12 project: Gaming and Toy-Inspired Line Art: Students will create a drawing inspired by either the detailed fictional weapon designs in video games or a cute plushie. Whether students want to design their own weapon to win a battle royale or a fun new plush – they will put extra focus on linework into their drawings.\n7-9 project: Gaming and Toy-Inspired Line Art: Students will create a drawing inspired by either the detailed fictional weapon designs in video games or a cute plushie. Whether students want to design their own weapon to win a battle royale or a fun new plush – they will put extra focus on linework into their drawings.\n\n  \n9:30–11:00 AM: ages 10–12 \n11:00 AM–12:30 PM: ages 13-18 \n2:00–3:30 PM: ages 7–9 \n  \nHomeschool Art Classes: \nThis series of youth art classes is designed to provide homeschooling students with affordable\, quality\, and fun arts education. Classes will meet once a week on Wednesdays from September through April. All classes can be taken individually but\, when taken consecutively\, provide a complete curriculum of fine arts knowledge and techniques. Students who participate in any Homeschool Art classes have the option to submit work to the Homeschool Art Student Exhibition that will be on display in the children’s wing of the museum in May.  \n  \nClasses begin on September 17th and end on April 22nd. \n  \nProjects in the first semester (September-December) will be based on the fundamentals of art. Projects in the second semester (January-April) will be based on combining everything that we learned in the first semester with mixed media and sculpture.
