Audience: Teen – adult

Description: Participants will explore basic techniques for printing and dying cotton fabric. We will work with processes including block carving and printing, stenciling, glue resist, and wax resist on cotton bandanas, handkerchiefs, and flour sack towels. The focus of this class is less on finished product and more on process and experimentation with the goal of getting participants comfortable with printing techniques, unfamiliar tools, and layering color and imagery.
